The RV Service Advisor acts as the liaison between the customer and Transwest when service is required. The Service Advisor meets with customers, listens to their concerns about their vehicle, suggests repair and maintenance services, sells new accessories or replacement parts as well as keeps the customer informed of the repair services progress. Service Advisors provide one consistent source of information for the client and free the technicians and Shop Foreman to perform their duties with minimal interruptions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate with customers by quickly responding to inquiries.
Answer service calls and deliver timely updates to clients regarding status updates on
work being performed and scheduling work.
Greet customers who enter the location.
Interview clients in a professional manner to determine the needed repairs.
Obtain all necessary information from the customer to establish a business relationship.
Create a repair order by identifying current vehicle condition, estimated repair time,
getting quotes/estimates from the shop if necessary, supply any supporting
documentation and obtain work authorization.
Create and close repair orders.
Review work performed with client and collect payment.
Communicate with Shop Foreman on pertinent repair order information and updates.
Listens to the customer description of problems or service needed.
Determines the type of service required and creates a repair order (RO).
Upsell customers for additional equipment and services.
Prepare and present the customer with quotes for all repairs.
Obtain customer authorization and signatures for all repairs.
Present repair order to technicians
Communicate with the customer and technician during repairs.
Work with the technician to ensure the repair is complete.
Answer service calls.
Invoicing of RO's.
Contact the customer for pick up or delivery
Review work performed with client and ensure that secured payment is made prior to
releasing serviced vehicles.
Additional duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations, at the shop division location.
Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
RV experience preferred - training will be provided as needed.
Knowledge of computers is a must.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
