THE ROLE:

As program manager in AMD's AECG/ACG Solutions Engineering Team, you will drive end-to-end delivery of high profile ACG projects from concept to production. You will interact with product management, customers, production planning and packaging and quality assurance teams to deliver the products.

THE PERSON:

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management, youwill also drive a schedule for high profile project and products for ACG.

  • Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times.
  • Ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with engineers, packaging, product planning and product managers to drive the execution of multiple projects.
  • Ownership and update of program schedules ensuring that the various teams are working towards their goals.
  • Acting as a key liaison between engineering and other partners on all matters pertaining to successful project execution
  • Building, creating, and maintaining a well-developed, managed and executed program plan is critical.
  • Being comfortable working with outside vendors, customers and Segment Architects to understand and deliver quality projects/programs.
  • Delivering on all assigned program commitments from inception through execution
  • Ownership of status reporting, task tracking and issue messaging to key partners, Segment Leads and customers.
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates and reviews to key internal partners and external partners

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to present confidently in a clear and concise manner to both executive level and technical audiences.
  • Team Player, Well Organized and Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work in fast paced and fun multitasking environment.
  • Technical background in engineering or marketing roles at a semiconductor or systems company showing progressively increased responsibility.
  • Project/Program Management industry experience leading engineering programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements across diverse application areas and convert them into a compelling product vision.
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, JAMA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS-Project is desired.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Formal Project Management education preferred.
