Job Description


Serco North America has several contingent openings for Network Engineers. Network Engineers will serve as the Serco North America representative in the field to the client, the host government and numerous subcontractors involved with the program; strong professional presence is required for the exempt position. Experience in managing cradle-to-grave network design, development and installation activities is required. A solid mastery of TCP/IP internetworking fundamentals with a clear understanding of the fundamental underlying technologies is required; industry certifications desired. Knowledge of physical infrastructure, particularly fiber optics and copper cabling, is desired. Experience and knowledge of multiplexers, CSU/DSUs and data encryption devices is highly desired. Familiarity with government programs, government vernacular, and government deliverable structure is a plus. Ability to produce and present graphical presentations to medium-sized audiences is a plus. Strong writing skills required. Ability to produce technical documentation to include but not limited to Technical Solutions, Engineering Studys, Trip Reports, Program Support Agreements, Site Survey Reports, Meeting Minutes and As-Built documentation.

  • A CCNA (Certified Cisco Network Associate) Certification is preferred



  • An active Top Secret SCI Clearance is required for this position. A Top Secret clearance with previous SCI access may be considered.
  • Requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering, or equivalent, and two to five years related experience. A minimum of eight years experience will be required in place of four year degree
  • TCP IP experience required
  • Data Encryption Devices experience required
  • Telecommunications experience within various federal government agencies is strongly preferred
