Program Security Officer

* Develops and implements SAP/SCI security planning in multiple security disciplines to include physical, personnel, OPSEC, education and training, information security and AIS.

* Operates a highly effective security program responsive to requirements applicable to the collateral, special access (SAP), and SCI security control systems.

* Assists program managers perform long-term security planning and SAP lifecycle analyses.

* Develops solutions to unique and difficult security situations and challenges.

* Represents AFSPC/A8ZS at various acquisition and operational meetings as directed.

* Ensures that changes to system baselines do not negatively affect system security.

* Performs self-inspection and compliance actions.

* Performs security incident reporting processes.

* Performs physical security inspections/reviews and recommends upgrades to the physical security posture of the organization to AFSPC/A8ZS. Maintains physical accreditation standards IAW JAFAN 6/9 and DCID 6/9.

* Conducts OPSEC analyses, develops and implements OPSEC plans as required.

* Conducts Information Assurance Officer duties (IAO) for various systems under the oversight of the AFSPC/A8ZS Information Assurance Manager (IAM).

* Develops comprehensive program security management documentation to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Systems Security Plans (SSP) and assists in the development of Security Classification Guides (SCGs) as needed.

* Plans, prepares and presents security education and training material to assigned personnel as needed.

* Administers a classified material control and accountability program.

* Performs Tier One personnel security actions IAW JAFAN 6/4.

* Security experience in an operational environment is highly preferred.

* Must possess sound knowledge of requirements and methods to meet requirements. delineated in JAFAN and DCID series of publications.

* Experience in physical security requirements involved in the construction and accreditation of SCI facilities.

* A self-starter who can work independently with little to no supervision.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management abilities

* Highly flexible and capable of operating in a high-tempo, extremely fluid environment

* May require limited travel as directed by the Chief, Security, CI and Special Program Oversight Branch.
